Amanda S. Bonawitz
PORT ALLEGANY- Amanda S. Bonawitz, 21, of W. Mill St. passed away Wednesday (Aug. 29, 2012) in the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital,
Coudersport.
Born November 26, 1990, in Coudersport, she was a daughter of Daniel L. McDonald and Paula M. Bonawitz Daugherty.
Ms. Bonawitz was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of the Port Allegany High School, Class of 2009.
She attended the former Evangelical United Methodist Church of Port Allegany, and was a member of the Star Hose Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving in addition to her parents, are a stepfather, Barry A. Daughtery of Port Allegany, paternal grandparents, Daniel and Janet McDonald, paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Morris all of Union City, PA, maternal grandparents, Charles and Bonnie Bonawitz of Port Allegany; several aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Friday (Aug. 31, 2012) in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where a memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. with Rev. Randall Headley, pastor of the United Methodist Church, Port Allegany, officiating. Burial will be in Grimes Cemetery, Port Allegany.
Donations can be made to the Amanda Bonawitz Benefit Fund at the Citizens & Northern Bank, Port Allegany.
