Alvin B. WILSON

Alvin B. WILSON, 88, of Westfield, PA, formerly of Jackson, NJ, died Thursday, October 16, 2014 in his home. Born December 25, 1925, in Eldred, PA, he was the son Jack Alvin and Beulah Stull Wilson. On June 5, 1965, in Lakehurst, NJ, he married the former Cora Jane Graham, who survives. A World War II Veteran, he served honorably with the US Navy from 1943 - 1946 in the European and Pacific Theatres. He was employed by Reade Manufacturing in Lakehurst, NJ for 36 years. Alvin was a member of Gerald G. Griffin Post #519 in Westfield, PA, VFW Post #10061 in Lakehurst, and AMVETS Post #2. Surviving besides his wife, Cora Jane, are: a step-daughter, Nancy Lovel of Westfield; two step-grandchildren, Glenn (Jodie) Lovel of Harrison Valley and Melinda Lovel of Westfield; a sister, Sherma O'Connor of Candor, NY; a step-sister, Helen Puccio of Buffalo, NY; a brother-in-law, Henry (Anita) Graham of Tioga, PA; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a step-sister, Norma Guerra; and a brother-in-law, Howard Graham. Friends may call at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, with Funeral Services following at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Duane Burdick will officiate. Military Rites will be accorded by members of the Potter County Honor Guard. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
