Alicia C. Treat
PORT ALLEGANY- Alicia C. Treat, 40, of Fremont, IN, formerly of Port Allegany, passed away Monday (Mar. 13, 2017) in Fremont, IN, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born December 19, 1976, in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of Earl A. and Diane Seamon Hand. On June 14, 1997, in Eldred, she married Nicholas Treat, who survives.
Alicia was a longtime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1997.
She was a homemaker for many years and recently employed with the Fremont Community School in the cafeteria.
Mrs. Treat was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church, Port Allegany, and attended the Fairview Missionary Church, Angola, IN. She was a former Cub Scout Leader of Pack 561, Port Allegany, and enjoyed cooking, scrapbooking, boating, and basketball. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and young adults.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Nick, are her father, Earl Hand of Eldred, PA, mother, Diane Andreano of Friendship, NY, maternal grandmother, Patricia Seamon of Cuba, NY; a son, Isaac J. Treat and a daughter, Gillian M. Treat both of Fremont; five brothers, Mathew G. Hand of Friendship, NY, Zachary J. (Amanda) Hand of Scio, NY, Christopher W.J. (Kimberly) Hand of Eldred, PA, Timothy R.B. Hand of Roulette, PA, Nathaniel L. Andreano of Murphysboro, TN; a sister, Lacie K. Andreano of Rushford, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, stepmother, Sandra Hand, and a brother, Budd Hand.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday (Mar. 18, 2017) in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Evangelical Covenant Church, Port Allegany, with Rev. R.T. Madison, pastor officiating.
