Alice M. Meacham
PORT ALLEGANY- Alice M. Meacham, 85, formerly of N. Main St., passed away Friday (Sept. 9, 2016) in Cole Mem. Hospital, Coudersport.
Born January 26, 1931, in Akron, OH, she was a daughter of John and Florence Lillibridge Hanley. On March 8, 1953, in Portville, NY, she married Eugene J. Meacham, who died July 29, 1993.
Alice was a longtime resident of the area and a home care attendant for several local residents, before her retirement.
She was a member of the Port Allegany Senior Center.
Surviving are a daughter, Tina M. (William) Drabert of Roulette; three sons, Gene V. (Judy) Meacham and Dean H. (Valerie) Meacham both of Bradford, Michael E. (Valerie) Meacham of Port Allegany; a son-in-law, Melvin Fuller of Port Allegany; 22 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eugene, a daughter, Bonnie Fuller, a grandson, James, a brother, Harry Campbell, and a sister, Nina Raniek
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 17, 2016) in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where a memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. with Rev. Randall Headley, pastor of the Riverside Methodist Church, Roulette, officiating.
Memorials can be made to the Sena Kean Manor Activity Fund.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
