Albert "Mike" OFNER

Albert "Mike" OFNER, 88, of Westfield, PA, formerly of Pipersville, died Sunday, October 12, 2014 in the Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. Born October 6, 1926, in Doylestown, PA, he was the son of Louis and Anna Erkinger Ofner. On October 18, 1947, in Doylestown, he married the former Jacqueline P. Case, who predeceased him in 1980. On October 15, 1983, in Westfield, he married the former Barbara A. Outman, who survives. A World War II Veteran, he served honorably with the US Navy in the Pacific Theatre. Mike was employed as a tool and die maker by Penn Engineering in Danboro, PA and Fisher & Porter in Warminster, PA. He served as a police officer in Bedminster Township from 1961 - 1974. Moving to Westfield in 1974, he was employed by K&W and the Tioga County Sheriff's Office. He was a member of Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company for 20 years and the VFW. Surviving besides his wife, Barbara, are: four children, Kathy (James) Clements of Chalfont, PA, Michael (Deborah) Ofner of Revere, PA, Mark (Donna) Ofner of Perkasie, PA, and Karen (Richard) Koester of Westfield; three step-children, Melinda Clark of Johnstown, PA, Stacey (Harold) Van Treese of Harrison Valley, PA, and Brian (Angel) Clark of Westfield; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret DeHaven of Doylestown; nieces and nephews. In addition to his first wife, he was predeceased by seven siblings. Friends may call at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA on Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, with Funeral Services following at 11:00 AM.
