Agnes C. LECHLER, 97, of Galeton, PA, died Thursday, August 11, 2022 in Sheila’s Care Home, Mansfield.
Born March 6, 1925, in Galeton, she was the daughter of Frank and Anna Johnson Carlson. On January 28, 1950, in Arnot, she married Dale William Lechler, who predeceased her on August 26, 1981. A 1943 graduate of Galeton High School, she earned a certificate from Bryant & Stratton in Buffalo, NY. She was employed by Lindy Air in Buffalo, Strait Car Dealership in Galeton, and Lush Brothers in Galeton. Agnes was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Galeton, serving as organist for many years. Agnes served as secretary/treasurer of West Hill Cemetery in Galeton.
Surviving are: three sons, William “Bill” (Betty Ann) Lechler, Richard (Melanie) Lechler, and John (Wendy Reimann) Lechler; three grandchildren, Richard (Chrissy) Lechler, Kimberly Cole, and Venessa Lechler; eight great-grandchildren, Marika, Billy, Eve, Mitchel, Tegan, Jobe, Vinnie, and Quinn; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Leonard F. Carlson, Evert Carlson, and Richard F. Carlson.
Friends may call at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Galeton on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 2:00 PM. Rev. Dr. Roger Wagner will officiate. Burial will be in Germania Cemetery.
