PORT ALLEGANY-Ralph C. Glase, 66, of N. Brooklynside Rd., passed away unexpectedly, Saturday (Mar. 30, 2024) at the home of his daughter, in Shippensburg, PA.

Born April 17, 1957, in Port Allegany, he was a son Frank C. and M. Olive Harrison Glase.  On Oct. 27, 1980, in Smethport, he married Sandy K. Burns, who survives.

Ralph was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1975.

He was employed with the former Pittsburgh Corning Co., Port Allegany, for several years, before his retirement.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Sandy, is a daughter, Amy M. (Shawn) Renaldi,  Shippensburg, PA; a stepson, Anthony M. (Shelley) Pavone of Holt, FL; a stepdaughter, Rae Ann Preston of Bellefonte, PA; 5 grandchildren: Nick Thomas, Madison & Allison Preston, Anthony (Araina) Pavone, Jr. of Barksdale AFB,  LA,  Taylor Pavone of Sheppard AFB, TX;  two sisters, Bonnie (Thomas) Brown of Farmers Valley, Carol  Glase of Port Allegany; a brother, Mark D. Glase of Olean, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Daniel Glase.

Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service to be held at 12 p.m.(noon) May 4, 2024, at Eddie's on Main, Port Allegany, with Rev. Greg Miller officiating,

Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
